Full Bill Text
SB 8 would prohibit public agency funds from being used for the purpose of obtaining an abortion or paying for the performance of an abortion.
The bill would prohibit state funds from being directly or indirectly used, granted, paid, or distributed to any nonpublic entity or organization that “directly provide only family planning services but do not provide all basic health services.”
The bill would establish a funding priority for the distribution of federal family planning funds that places state, county, and local community health clinics and federally qualified health centers first.
