Full Bill Text
HB 61 would prohibit public funds from being used for the purpose of obtaining an abortion or paying for the performance of an abortion.
The bill would prohibit public funds from being directly or indirectly used, granted, paid, or distributed to any entity, organization, or individual that provides abortion services or any affiliate of an entity, organization, or individual that provides abortion services.
“Abortion services” would include abortions, referrals, counseling, advice, and written materials.
HB 61 would not apply to funding for hospitals, medical schools, or universities.
