Full Bill Text
HB 358 would prohibit public funds from being used for the purpose of obtaining an abortion or paying for the performance of an abortion.
The bill would prohibit public funds from being directly or indirectly used, granted, paid, or distributed to any entity, organization, or individual that provides abortion services or that is an affiliate of an entity, organization, or individual that provides abortion services.
“Abortion services” would include abortions, referrals, counseling, advice, and written materials.
The bill would not apply to funding for hospitals, medical schools, or universities.
