HR 18 is a resolution expressing the House of Representatives’ commitment to women’s health and well-being.

The resolution supports efforts to:

  • Making improving women’s health a priority;
  • Ensuring all women have access to the best health care;
  • Ensuring women have access to safe childbearing;
  • Ensuring women have the autonomy to decide whether to have children, and to have medical accurate information;
  • Ensuring women have access to affordable insurance coverage for all their needs, including contraception and abortion;
  • Ensuring women are afforded autonomous decision making, informed consent and privacy; and
  • Working to end health disparities for all women.
