HB 3831 would prohibit the state’s Medicaid program from providing coverage for gender-affirming surgery. The bill would ban gender-affirming surgery, including, but not limited to, genital or breast-related surgery for persons diagnosed with gender dysphoria, from being covered under the medical assistance program.
