Beginning on January 1, 2016, ambulatory treatment centers where abortions are performed, and any other facility where 50 or more abortions are performed in a calendar year, would have been required to comply with all statutes, rules and regulations applicable to ambulatory surgical treatment centers and other out-patient treatment centers.  Essentially, HB 2684 would have required that any abortion be performed in a licensed surgical treatment facility.

STATUS

Initially referred to the Rules Committee.  Was assigned to the Human Services Committee on 3/4/13.  Was re-referred to the Rules Committee on 3/22/2013.
