Idaho ‘Plan First Idaho’ Bill (H 563)

H 563 would establish a program, “Plan First Idaho,” under which the health department would provide medical assistance for family planning services and supplies and preconception planning to pregnant people aged 19-44 years:
- whose family income does not exceed 133 percent of the federal poverty guideline;
- who meet other eligibility standards in accordance with department rule;and
- who are not insured by medicare, medicaid or other health insurance that covers family planning services.
The bill prohibits abortions from being included in any family planning services and supplies.
