SB 3 would have specified how the phrase “individual, private setting” should be interpreted in informed consent situations. An “individual, private setting” would have required a face-to-face consultation with the patient and their doctor, physician assistant, licensed nurse or physician-assigned social worker.
STATUS
Passed the Senate 33-5 on January 22, 2014 and was sent to the House where it died in the Health and Welfare Committee.
Similar to SB 4, which failed to pass in 2013.
