Full Bill Text
HB 2098 would reenact certain provisions of Arkansas law previously deemed unconstitutional in order to prohibit same-sex marriage and provide that marriage may be only between a man and a woman.
The bill would void any same-sex marriage, regardless if it were contracted inside or outside the state.
The bill would prohibit any future licenses from being issued to a person to marry another person of the same sex, and no same-sex marriage would be recognized as entitled to the benefits of marriage.
