Arizona Resolution Supporting Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (SCR 1029)
This law was last updated on Nov 30, 2020
The Arizona Senate passed a resolution supporting a proposed federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, a bill that strengthens a prior federal law passed in 2002 by imposing additional requirements for health care providers.
Under the amended bill, health care providers would have to treat a fetus as it would a human infant patient.
The resolution also supports maintaining a federal database of fetuses “surviving” abortion attempts.
