Full Bill Text
SR 109 is a joint resolution condemning the vote made by U.S. Senator Doug Jones (D) against the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” in the United States Congress.
The resolution never actually mentions Sen. Doug Jones by name, instead referring to the Senator as “the junior senator from Alabama.”
The resolution claims that “the junior senator is from one of the strongest pro-life states, yet disregarded the clear wishes of the people of Alabama.”
The bill calls on Doug Jones to cast future votes to “protect innocent human life from conception until natural death.”
Similar to SJR 60, which actually refers to Sen. Doug Jones by name.
Adopted by the house on March 27, 2018.
