Rebekah Spicuglia is a writer, activist, and former Program Director for the Women’s Media Center.  Named one of eight “Moms Inspired to Change History” by MSN, Spicuglia serves as a spokesperson on parenting issues and is currently working on a book about her experiences as a noncustodial mom, continuing to inspire and organize noncustodial parents through her NonCustodial Parent Community blog: http://ncpcommunity.com/. Spicuglia has been featured in NY Daily News, New York Times Motherlode, Feministing, Slate, Huffington Post, About.com, Brain Child magazine, WBAI, and Fox News.

Spicuglia served as key staff for the Women’s Media Center, managing communications and programs, ultimately serving as WMC Program Director. Prior to the WMC, Spicuglia worked as a member of the Media Field Strategy Team at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), where she contributed to the research and development of GLAAD’s Media Essentials guide and Announcing Equality program.Originally from Virginia and raised in California, Spicuglia worked on several film and television projects and graduated from  University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.
