Jennifer Drake is currently
the Outreach Associate at The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned
Pregnancy, where she focuses on federal and state policy and providing technical
assistance to state and local prevention programs and coalitions. Prior to
moving to Washington, DC, she held several volunteer and staff positions with
groups that work to improve the lives and health of women, including organizing
for women’s organizations on her college campus, serving on the Board of
Tri-Rivers Planned Parenthood, completing the 21st Century Leadership Academy at
the Sue Shear Institute for Women in Public Life, and fundraising for Planned
Parenthood of the St. Louis Region. She also served as a Barbara Jordan Health
Policy Scholar for Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s (D-MA) health policy staff on the
Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. She received her degree
in Biology from Truman State
University in Kirksville, MO.
