Maya Eashwaran is a junior at Princeton University, pursuing a degree in politics and a minor in creative writing. At Princeton, she is a freelance journalist for the University Press Club, a select group of undergraduates who freelance professionally for established local and national papers. A former 2016 National Student Poet, Maya is also passionate about youth art and writing engagement; she serves as a member of a university volunteer organization that brings arts and crafts workshops to young students in Trenton, New Jersey. Her academic research currently focuses on Texas Latinas’ access to general and reproductive health-care services.
