Mariko Hirose

Mariko Hirose is the Litigation Director at IRAP.  She was previously a Senior Staff Attorney at the New York Civil Liberties Union, the New York affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, where she worked on impact litigation involving a broad range of civil rights and civil liberties issues.  She has also worked at Outten & Golden LLP, where she represented employees in class action discrimination and wage-and-hour cases, and at the American Civil Liberties Union, where she was the William J. Brennan Fellow with the Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project.  She has taught at the New York University School of Law and at the Fordham University School of Law.
Mariko is a graduate of Yale University and Stanford Law School. After law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to law school, Mariko lived in China as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow and in Spain as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
