Karen Dolan is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, where she directs the Criminalization of Poverty and Race project. Her recent works include co-authoring The Souls of Poor Folks:A Preliminary Report, The Poor Get Prison: The Alarming Spread of the Criminalization of Poverty and Mothers at the Gate: How a Powerful Family Movement is Transforming the Juvenile System. Karen is also working on Restorative Justice for public schools and appears regularly in print and other media venues.
