Jennifer Brier

Jennifer Brier is a historian of HIV and AIDS and director of the Gender and Women’s Studies Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is author of Infectious Ideas: US Political Responses to the AIDS Crisis (University of North Carolina Press, 2009). She is at work on “I’m Still Surviving: A Women’s History of HIV/AIDS in the United States,” a collaborative public history project where 40 women living with HIV and AIDS narrate and interpret a gendered history of the epidemic.
