Elizabeth Johnsen

Elizabeth Johnsen is the outreach and editorial director at The Opportunity Agenda, a social justice communication lab. A former journalist, Elizabeth spent four years living in Riga, Latvia, where she reported for and then edited The Baltic Times. Many of her stories focused on social justice and human rights issues. She has contributed to international news organizations such as Transitions Online and the BBC. Elizabeth received her master’s from Columbia University at the Harriman Institute, where she studied migration and human rights in post-Soviet states. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications and Scandinavian studies from the University of Washington.
