Carlos A. Ball is Professor of Law and Judge Frederick Lacey Faculty Scholar at the Rutgers University School of Law (Newark). He is the author of From the Closet to the Courtroom: Five LGBT Rights Cases that Have Changed Our Nation (Beacon, 2010) and The Morality of Gay Rights: An Exploration in Political Philosophy (Routledge, 2003). He is also the editor of one of the leading casebooks on Sexuality and the Law. He has written numerous articles, chapters, and essays on LGBT rights, disability rights, and property rights. His work has also appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Miami Herald, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and the Gay and Lesbian Review, among other publications. He holds an LL.M. from Cambridge University and a J.D. from Columbia University.
