Whether you’re coupled up, dating around, or just trying to up your digital flirting game, sexting can be a fun part of a healthy sex life—but it’s not without risks to your privacy, to your safety, or even to your mental health.

Consider this: One study found that 23 percent of people who have received a nude photo shared it with somebody else. And not just one person, either—they shared it with an average of 3.17 friends.

We’re just guessing, but you probably don’t intend for that many people to see you nude, no matter how proud you are of your body.
