Jean Bucaria is Deputy Director of NOW-NYC. She has served in this role at the organization since 2007. She first volunteered with NOW-NYC in 2003, staffing the phones and collecting signatures in the streets on behalf of Title IX. She continues to play a key role in creating and implementing programs that support and advocate for women and girls. In 2005, she led an effort to remake the chapter’s newsletter of which she is currently Editor-in-Chief. She has expanded the efforts of NOW-NYC’s sister agency, the Service Fund, launching a financial clinic for women going through divorce and initiating an annual gift drive program for sexually exploited girls. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Baruch College and has established a record of diverse experience in program evaluation and management in the nonprofit arena.
